So my vacation started on Saturday, played a few games, enjoying my free games a bit too much and need to focus back on a good practice instead of goofing around and playing every move to see what happens. So here it is: Treat every player with respect for their game. It’s the same as that old idea that perfect practice makes perfect. So there should be no reason for me to make some of the moves I play if I know they don’t work, just to see how my opponent reacts.
Also I forgot to mention something really cool that happened last week, shygost offered me a teaching game. He seems very patient and the lesson went very well, we stopped just as opening was turning to middle game. Very, very strong teacher with a good style in my opinion.
More to come this week as I play some more games and start February’s ASR League.
